Could it be that your teeth only look shorter because your gums are swollen? Plaque will cause this easily.





Make sure you are still seeing your general dentist and hygienist for professional cleanings every 3 to 6 months while your are wearing your braces. They should teach you specific detailed ways of cleaning your teeth to prevent swollen gums. Also, ask your orthodontist if things look normal or not of course.
