Orthodontics and TMJ Disorder?

Have you had/do you have TMJ? Have you had orthodontics to correct it and did it help?

yes, I have TMJ. Have had it all my 40 years of life. They suggested the surgery where they break your jawl. I said no. I got the mouth guard that is made to keep me from grinding my teeth at night. That helps, I wear it when Im stressed.


I have heard that this is a really tough, tough surgery to go through. Be absolutely sure you need it.


I did have my bite corrected, that helped a great deal.
