Yes, many dental insurances will cover a part of your
orthodontic costs. Beware of the waiting periods for
any ortho work though. There are other plans that
will cover orthodontic work without waiting periods too,
see below.
Do any health insurance plans cover orthodontics for adults?
Yes, there are alot of them that do...just call your insurance company and ask them and also ask how much they will pay.
Reply:It depends on your health insurance plan. At our company, dental is separate from medical but it does cover adult orthodontics.
Reply:Depends on the insurance company. Check with you dentist if they offer any payment plans or dental plans. I paid mines off at $100 a month for several years. Or check dentalplans.com, bluecross.com (I have this and it covers part of ortho), kaiser.com, deltadental.com or westerndental.com. Good luck!
Reply:Many insurance plans do not cover orthodontics, especially for adults. If they do, they are quite expensive.
But I work with a company that offers a Dental Plan at a affordble price. It not only takes care of orthodontics, for adults, but it also includes teeth whitening. Three other plans are give to you at no additional charge.
The good news is that you have no waiting period and you can sign up on line, get your ID # and schedule your appointment immediately.
