Orthodontics or Cosmetic Dentists?

My smile is alright... i just have one or two crooked teeth and i'm planning on getting invisilign braces to correct them.

But since i'm paying all this money, i also want my teeth to become "Picture Perfect".

So will a regular Orthodontist do that?

or will i need to go to a Cosmetic Dentist?

Keep in mind..."Picture Perfect"

Thanks,

Best helping answer gets my 10.

Orthodontics or Cosmetic Dentists?
An orthodontist is the best person to see. They will assess whether Invisalign or braces will give you the desired effect, and give you the pros and cons of each technique.

A "cosmetic" dentist has had nowhere near the same amount of training as an orthodontist, and may not be able to offer a wide range of options, but may wish to steer you towards his limited repertoire.
Reply:I've had braces for years. My teeth wern't that bad to begin with, I only had like two slightly crooked teeth. Anyways...I thought my teeth would be picture percect, and they look basically the same as the did before I got my braces put on. It's really really really disappointing.

You should go to a cosmetic dentist. I wish i did. I don't know if this will help you..but thats my story =)
Reply:A cosmetic surgery will be the best as in your case "Picture Perfect" Go ahead. Hope I get your 10
Reply:definitely use the orthodontist first. if you still aren't happy then talk to your dentist. the most important thing for a perfect smile is to get the teeth where they should be first and then make them pretty.
Reply:Teeth Straightening:

The best candidates for Invisalign braces are teenagers and adults whose teeth are overly crowded, widely spaced or exhibit overbites, underbites, crossbites or other alignment problems.

The Invisalign procedure begins with a consultation with a qualified cosmetic dentist, who will discuss goals and desired results with the client. Every two weeks, the client goes back to the dentist's office to pick up the next in the series of aligners, repeating the process for about a year, on average, until the client's teeth reach their final, desired positions.

Teeth Whitening:

Cosmetic dentistry has applied recent technological advances to tooth whitening procedures that can now brighten one's smile by up to 15 shades.

Teeth bleaching is the most popular and recognized treatment, a treatment that some cosmetic dentists expedite through the use of a high-intensity light.

In the laser dentistry procedure known as laser tooth whitening, a cosmetic dentist applies a gel to a client's teeth and directs a laser on the teeth to activate the hydrogen peroxide in the gel and penetrate the surface of the teeth. This laser teeth whitening procedure can brighten a client's smile by up to eight shades in one session.
