Just got spacers from the orthodontics, any way to lessen the sore mouth?

I just got spacers and the pain of the little rubber between my teeth is really, really, sore. Any way to make it better?

You can take some OTC pain medication like ibuprofen or Tylenol for a few days.
Reply:take pain reliever
Reply:Advil helps
Reply:ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.
Reply:advil and eat soft food
Reply:drink a cold drink. it kind of numbs it for a while. and take some advil. when i had my spacers put in, the pain went away after a couple days.
Reply:motrin or ibprofen work the best. but i can tell you that the spacers are the worst part of getting braces. mine slipped out the first night and i had to find a way to put them back in which hurt worse. you just have to try and keep your mind off of them. oh and try something cold it will numb the pain a little bit
Reply:well you could always get Advil but i prefer is Colgate Orabase., its wonderful it makes your mouth numb so you don’t really feel it.. i love it
Reply:swish with salt water that helped a lot. and yes spacers are the worst part of braces. i had 16 spacers, so yeah, dont complain.
