Evolution of bonding system in orthodontics?

Bonding directly to enamel with braces began soon after the discovery of properly preparing enamel. The father of modern bonding techniques published his article in 1955:

Following the early developments, advances have been primarily in the contents of the bonding materials, use of mechanical retention on the braces, and improved primers.
