My son needs orthodontics for his cross bite, any idea how much money this might cost?

Talk to an orthodontist, instead of surgery opt for braces. I have a crossbite (nothing bad), and I just had braces put on, and they will be using rubberbands to slowly bring the jaws into an aligned position. For braces, and this is with minor crowding and a crossbite, my treatment is $4230. The good thing about orthodontists is most will allow payments which generally are in the mid $100's. It is all definitely worth it in the end. Most treatments can range anywhere from $3000-7000...I am living in Missouri and the general treatment is $4000-4500.

Depending on your location, North of Boston ranges from $4000-$7000 depending on treatment.

Look into dental schools if cost is an issue, may take longer because you will have a student, but it is more cost efficent.
Reply:if you're in the Philippines, it's a lot cheaper...about 30,000 pesos (that's around 681 dollars only).
Reply:My youngest had a cross bite and our dental insurance covered the entire procedure which was a lengthy process. I recommend that you make this happen for your son, anything you can do to make sure that as an adult he has good dental health is a great duty to perform. My sister didn't decide to do this with an child with an under-bite, and as an adult, although a very intelligent person, he looks like he is mentally deficient. It's harsh, but appearance is important in our society.
