Why are orthodontics required to have straight teeth? Why can't the body produce straight teeth on its own?

Teeth grow in by pushing into spaces where the pressure against them is less. No one has perfectly straight teeth, and some people's crooked teeth actually interfere with proper chewing and/or biting. Also, sometimes teeth are straightened for cosmetic reasons.

As humans evolved, the brain case got bigger and the jaws got smaller, and the teeth became crowded. Some people have mutations in which they do not have certain teeth develop at all such as lateral incisors (right next to front teeth) or wisdom teeth (3rd molars).

Why are orthodontics required to have straight teeth? Why can't the body produce straight teeth on its own?
what would all the orthodontics do then ):
Reply:Mine are straight... (been to the dentist once). ask me in twenty years and I might have more data for you.
Reply:Orthodontists aren't "required" to have straight teeth, but it would be nice to see someone who is aware and conscious of their teeth.
Reply:I have never had braces or any type of corrective devices...my teeth are perfectly straight.
