College Acceptance?

Currently a sophomore in high school

GPA- 3.8 (because at my school, a 90 is a B)

If my high school did 90 as an A, my GPA would be 4.1

Freshmen courses- english 9 honors, drawing/painting, german 2, bio honors, geometry honors, american studies cp

Sophomore courses- english 10 honors, trig/alg 3 honors, german 3, chem honors, anatomy honors, american studies 2 cp

[Planned] Junior courses- english 11 honors, calculus cp, physics cp, biology AP, german 4 honors, world studies honors, philosophy honors

[Planned] Senior courses- humanities honors (combined eng, history, and philosophy), german 5 AP, statistics AP, genetics

Extracurricular- National Honors Society, Debate Team, varsity tennis team

No SAT scores yet

I want to go into medicine (perhaps psychiatry or orthodontics.. or on my morbid days, coroner)

What colleges could I get into?

College Acceptance?
Not without SATs of course. You get those done, and done well and I don't see why not.
Reply:You will definitely get accepted if you keep up your grades and get a decent SAT score. Try to do some extra circular activities and be a leader of a few clubs. That will impress the admission people. Try to take your SAT's or ACT's as soon as possible. Don't pick your major right away you will change your mind as you get older-trust me.
Reply:you definitely have a possibility of getting into nyu. a girl from my high school who was enrolled in all college prep coursed and only recieved mediocre grades got in there. your grades and extracirriculars are very good, but make sure you get some community service in there too :) i'm going to villanova university next year and my major will be psychology ... i hope to get into psychiatry one day as well. lots of school though. good luck :)
Reply:i have no idea about NYU or oxford, but i had a friend who got into baylor with similar stuff as you...oklahoma university is very good, easy to get into and still affordable...i wanted to commend you on your efforts though...you seem to be a very focused person and i hope for the best for you....and its good that you are keeping a wide variety of classes...my friend was going into pediatric oncology and she attended a camp for her major...they told her that its good to keep your classes broad but your activities specific, so keep up with nhs debate and tennis...they like commitment....oh, p.s: if you can handle any more in your life, you may try being prez of nhs...i was and it looks great on resume....

oh...and when you take your ap tests, try to focus the most on which ones pertain the most to your career because i took a ton but have of them don't count for my major requirements...it was a waste of time...

oh again...make sure to take the psat and do well...national merit scholars get crap loads of scholarships...and if you decide to attend ou, work on your act scores rather than sat...oklahoma schools like that

good luck
Reply:Oxford and NYU? What the hell, give it a try.
