Reply:It depends on the specific procedure you will have done. The best thing to do would be to pick any orthodontist and have an exam/consultation. After that, they can give you a treatment plan and quote prices. While you will have to pay for the exam, once they have given you a copy of the treatment plan/price list, you can call your insurance and see if they will cover it as well as be able to shop around by calling orthodontists and asking about the cost of the specific procedures outlined in your plan.

Reply:My braces were about that much. (I got them recently). But yes your probably right. A lot of things vary though. How long you'll have them, what kind of braces, any other appliances. But yes the average cost is what you think. :)
