Why do so many british people have terrible teeth?

I can only assume they don't value dentistry and orthodontics like americans do. It can't be a coincidence that nearly every brit i see on tv, magazines, etc. have a less than desirable set of chompers.

Why do so many british people have terrible teeth?
Couple of reasons, the biggest being that flouride is not added to their tap water. And it clearly doesn't bother them. for I assume if it did....they would add flouride to it! To each his own.
Reply:The drink tea all the time ,which makes your teeth brown ,and they eat alot of sugar filled pastries.
Reply:Just look at their national health care system for the answers. It is much more expensive to live in GB because your tax dollars are higher to pay for the national health care program. However, the program does not include dentistry or orthodontia, so if you have limited money, it will go towards food and shelter and not your pearly whites. We usually get our dental issues resolved with the help of an employee insurance plan. As a side note, the lack of dental hygiene also causes a dental induced heart disease. The bacteria enter your body by way of the ill pockets of disease in your mouth which then spur the inflammatory response. This inflammatory response wreaks havoc upon the cardiovascular system and can cause major problems. So when a Brit goes into the ER for chest pain, they are automatically put on antibiotics for their rotten gums.
