I need to know how much each person makes?(average $)?
General Dentist - Median annual earnings of salaried dentists were $129,920 *maybe now 200.000 in 2007, in May 2004. Earnings vary according to number of years in practice, location, hours worked, and specialty.

Self-employed dentists in private practice tend to earn more than do salaried dentists, and a relatively large proportion of dentists is self-employed. Like other business owners, these dentists must provide their own health insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits.

Orthodonists - I have read that it is 2-4 years.

Average Hourly Pay: $78.56 , at least 30.00 more now!

Average Annual Salary: $163,410 , of course this is about 100,000.

Cosmetic Dentist - Is basically a Gen Dentist with extra training(i.e.CE courses) that earns $150,000-$200,000

For any specialty in dentistry it can take from 2-3 years after dental school, depending on which school you go. Only Oral and maxillofacial surgery takes 4-6 years after dental school.
Reply:As a General Dentist (DMD) I can tell you that in my own private practice, my median earnings were right at: $207,000.00 for 2006.
