TEETH GAP: Please suggest on options?

I am 27, Male. I have gap in my front teeth. I have consulted a orthodontics doctor. It was very basic examination. I was asked to get the X-rays and Models ( which cost around $400).

Secondly, my insurance doesn't have ortho coverage and they told me treatment would cost as high as $5000. I have tried to get ortho coverage added to my insurance; looks like it was not possible with my existing group insurance.

Now, I am wandering around with the following questions ?

1. Is it really possible to get gaps closed at 27 ?

2. Are there any suggestions about the type of the treatment (should be inexpensive, since I can't afford $5000 )?

3. Anyways, doctor said he would decide about treatment plan after the X-rays (spending like $400 on this).. Not sure what Doctor would say afterwards.

4. What would be the best possible solution to this problem with the given constraints.

Thanks.

TEETH GAP: Please suggest on options?
1. As long as the bone and tissue are healthy and not webbed between your front teeth, it is definitely possible to close the gaps at your age. Teeth can be straightened at any age.

2. If you are not keen on braces now, as I said above, teeth can be straightened at any age. If it is important for your career now, then arrangements can be made to pay for treatment over time or through CareCredit and stretch out the payments for as long as you like.

3. Orthodontic records would need to be done in any office to have a baseline measurement and create a treatment plan. The cost of $400 is in line with the average for that.

4. Without having the records, no one can tell you if this is the best possible solution to your problem. That is why you need to have records done. You cannot create a treatment plan without having an assessment.

After you have had your records done, the information will be more readily available for the dentist to offer you options for treatment. You are the one who has to decide if the dentist's recommendations fit with your lifestyle. There is more than one way to fix any dental problem.
Reply:Ermm i would say dont spend money if you want to give it away send it to me rather then that just be confedent
Reply:leave it as it is mate
Reply:Without looking at your casts it would be hard to say if you have other options. One thing to consider is you could do veneers to close the "diastemas" which is as costly as braces. Long term you would be better off to get braces. It will be more benificial as far as your bite, condile placement (tmj), and digestive health.

Veneers involve removing some of your enamel in order for them to bond them to your teeth. So you would be looking at possible seepage and then crowns.

Most orthodontist will let you pay monthly payments on your treatment. That was the case with me. I was 30 when I got my braces, now almost 10 years later I have more confidence in my appearance and my patients have more respect for me as a dental technician.

Hope this helps.
