Orthodoctics?

Im about to go to the orthodontics for the 3rd time( havnt gotten braces yet) what can i expect? I need teeth pulled before braces.

Reply:I have had braces before and the orthodontist told me that I nneded to have two baby teeth pulled before I could get braces. Right after the teet got pulled a few days later I got my braces on and they stayed on me for about 2 years. They are probaly going to pull them before you have the braces put on. Just think of it as a good thing because the sooner you have it done the nicer the smile you will have when the braces come off. Think positive.
Reply:I had to get 3 teeth extracted (pulled out) before I got braces. It wasn't bothering me too much, but it got better soon. Don't worry about your braces hurting. When they put it on, you don't feel a thing. It only hurts when your teeth are getting straightened. It's a good thing that you feel pain during that time. It will also hurt a little bit when you go for adjustments. I have to go for adjustments every month. The pain goes away in less than a week. Just remember to brush your teeth at least 3 times a day for at least 3 minutes. Don't think that just because you have braces doesn't mean that you can't floss. Don't be afraid to floss. Make sure you don't chew gum or eat any sticky candy, for example, gummy bears, things like that. If you do, your brackets will become loose. If you feel a wire poking your mouth, don't try to do anything yourself. Always go to your orthodontist, and he will take care of it. I had braces for a year and a half, so that's how I know all of this. Good luck!
