average pay? and ive googled this over and over. but i cant find any good websites for orthodontics, like the basics. not for an average patient trying to learn about the basics of braces. i want in depth stuff of elastics and stuff.

I think you'll want to check out colleges in your area.... look for Certified Dental Assistant programs. Make sure they are Accredited programs. Once you have that, I think you could work in any dental related office.
Maybe try to contact an orthodontists office and see what their Dental Assistants make.
